I am now 34 weeks pregnant and am feeling very large. Kaelen likes to mimic me (sticks his tummy out while walking, says "belly hurts" constantly, and coughs/sneezes/blows his nose anytime I do). Kennedy is very nice and supportive; he lies and tells me I'm not fat! The baby is mostly nice, as long as I'm in a position that he's okay with. It has been an okay pregnancy; it's just been long! 40 weeks seems like an eternity, especially to someone with no patience!
Right now I am trying to get rid of a cough I have had for 5 weeks or so... Plus I got a lovely sinus infection, and to add insult to injury, I have lost my sense of taste... Chocolate has been my lifeblood, so that really doesn't seem fair! But, on the plus side, I can't smell anything either (no poopy diapers)!!
I have 4 weeks left of work, and I get to work from home 3 days a week.. this is good since I have come close to hitting people at work when they comment on my ever expanding belly and my alleged waddling... (I am a human, not a goose... I don't waddle.) Plus, I apparently got rid of my work pants from my last pregnancy, and I didn't feel like spending a fortune on pants I was going to look huge in anyway, so I only have two pairs of work pants that fit (and one of them requires me to wear uncomfortable shoes).
On a related note, Kaelen has only 4 weeks left at his day care. It's going to be a bittersweet moment. He absolutely loves his teachers and classmates. If only it were cheaper... We'll have to find him (and the new baby) a new daycare when I go back to work in December, but for now, I'm avoiding that problem!!
I feel like I'm jinxing myself stopping work at 38 weeks - Kaelen was born at 38 weeks, but I'm concerned that this baby will decide to stretch it out to 42 weeks! But, on the other hand, it's not like I'll be sitting around watching tv and eating cream puffs... I'll be chasing after Kaelen, and if that doesn't convince the baby to come out, I don't know what will!
Kaelen is such a big, grown up boy that it's hard to believe he was once so little! I'm really looking forward to our summer together (even though it's going to hold very little sleep for me). Remind me of that when I'm dealing with a tantrum-throwing toddler and a screaming infant...
Alright, that's enough of an update for now. Peace out.
