About the time the other grandparents showed up, Kaelen started requesting his "Big Truck" be in the bed with him (notice the school bus on top of big truck). Sometimes he even requests that it be tucked in. At first I wanted to refuse his request just to be ornery, but the next morning I discovered something wonderful... he actually stayed in bed until at least 7 am (and sometimes much later)!! WAHOOOOOOOOOOOO! I guess he just needed something to play with when he woke up. Who knew?!
Needless to say, we usually give him whatever he asks for now! I think he's figured out his power, because he's started getting a little ridiculous in his requests ("Fire truck", "no fire truck", "milk", "no milk", "milk", and so on every 2-5 minutes until he falls asleep). Luckily the monitor has a mute button!!
